Nigeria Humanitarian Action (NIHA) is not a think tank or infrastructure group that talks about what needs to be done; we do it. We strategically focus on impact and action, leading to outcomes that demonstrably improve the operating and policy environment on which all nonprofits rely.
The dynamic and ever increasing demand to meet the humanitarian concern and develop the social enterprise sectors in contemporary Nigeria – calls for a more coordinated, innovative and pragmatic effort by all Stakeholders to help create opportunities and meet the ever changing sector specific demands.
Over the years the need to articulate and set up mechanism to facilitate the achievement of Nigeria humanitarian and social enterprise sector goals and priorities have become key to its development. In the past the United Nations member states have identified the need for adequate support and building of capacity for Institutions and Individuals in the social enterprises and humanitarian sector for the implementation of the technical support requirements of various International Charters and Conventions as it relates to the sector itself.
At NIHA our core values do not only represent what we stands for, but also guide each generation of our leadership on how and where to direct the entiety of our affairs, hence our value are guided by these thematic phrase.
We have a mandate to Initiate, Organize, Advocate & Harmonize Social enterprises and humanitarian assistance within Nigeria as a whole – in order to Improve & strengthen government and Non – Governmental Intervention in the Sector.
